First bath - 8/14/11

It wasn't his first bath *ever*, but since we didn't have a real baby bathtub we've been dipping him in a flimsy plastic bucket or just wiping him off with wet facecloths.  We finally bought him a bathtub last week, and Sunday night was his first-ever bath where he got to lounge comfortably in the water.  He didn't quite know what to make of it at first, but by the time we took him out (which we smartly did *before* he got tired of it) he seemed to really be enjoying himself.

Thanks for the strategically placed facecloth when you're posting mostly-naked pictures of me on the internet, dad!

He's getting fired up because he thinks that playing with his bottom lip means it's time for food

Drying off is by far his least favorite part of bathtime

And then we promptly ruined Simon's post-bath good mood by dressing him up in pajamas and a little hat that were way too small for him

He didn't love it at the time, but he'll be even more upset in a few years when he sees how ridiculous we made him look.  Simon, it was all your mom's idea!
