Kids school photos are in! They switched companies this year and I'm not a fan of the new look. 

Lillian is 5 years old and in Pre-K

Simon is 7.5 years old and in 2nd Grade.

Lillian just looked at her toast and said it is this buggers. And I said no it's butter. And then she put her finger in it and tasted it and said it tastes like burgers.

What a fun Birthday party! Lillian is so lucky to have a huge group of people who love her.

First Day of School 2018

First day of 2nd Grade for Simon and first day of Pre-K for Lillian. It's her second year in the Pre-K room so she's an expert already. 

Pulling Simon's front tooth

Simon got his tooth pulled at the dentist today!

Simon's front right tooth has been loose since December (over 8 months!). The new tooth had already started growing in behind it so that his old tooth was pushed way forward. See picture after the jump. We'd tried some extremes to get that darn thing out. But generally he wouldn't let anyone but himself touch it because he was worried it'd hurt.

Because of the nerves, he had nitrous gas at the dentist, numbing cream and then a small novocaine shot. Thankfully it didn't hurt him at all and he was so relieved to have it done he was laughing at the end - or maybe that was the laughing gas. Dentist said that the tooth still had a pretty good root on it so it would have been really hard to pull at home, especially if he was nervous about it. Hopefully no more tooth drama!

iFly for Alan's Birthday Day/ Mother's Day

Way back for his birthday in January we got Alan a gift certificate for iFly. We have been so busy and a bit forgetful, so we finally booked it on Mother's Day weekend. It was such an adventure. The kids ADORED it. The videos below are of our second 2 minute 'flight'.

Simon's Spring Music show 2018

Simon had a speaking part in the music show this year! He did great, he was very comfortable and relaxed. He sang with his class and then sang and played an instrument!

He also was the youngest boy in the Puff the Magic Dragon song which was sung by some other kids. I totally cried as I watch the dragon and the progressively older boys grow up in the song. 

Auntie Colleen, Auntie Amy, Alan and Emily all got to see him perform.
