Christmas Dinner at Colleen and Joe's

We spent Christmas Dinner at Colleen's house with all of the family. Gaga and Papa, Michael and Lisa, Amy and Sarah, Colleen and Joe and we also got to see Grandpa Bart! And all of Joe's family, including Abby and Logan, Joe's niece and nephew. It was a great time!

Simon's First Star Wars Viewing

Over Christmas Break Simon watched Star Wars for the first time. It was his first made-for-adults movie that he's watched and he loved it. He was fine for all the fighting, he was only stressed during the trash compacter scene. He got threw it and loved it. Alan and Simon watched it again later in the week and have been tossing back and forth lines from the movie since.

Lillian's Holiday Concert at CCC 2016

Last night Lillian had her very first holiday concert at her Pre-K. She has been super excited for weeks leading up to it, she has been singing songs and been so proud. We all dressed up and went as a family (Alan, Emily, Simon, Auntie Colleen, and Jenn; sadly Auntie Amy was sick). She did great and was so proud. There was a visit from Santa at the end with some fun hanging out time with teachers and friends and parents. Bedtime was 8pm (AH!) but it was worth it.

Lillian Says, December 2016

We were in the car and saw a violin store... Then we realized Lillian might not know what a violin was. Alan was about to explain it when she said:  "I know what a violin is - it has music in it. You just pick up a stick and then you make it sing."


Beautiful.

Christmas Pictures with Santa 2016

One of our friends had a cookie decorating/Santa meeting party. Lillian was pretty suspicious of Santa. I absolutely love her glare at him. If you want full size pictures let me know.

First Snow in 2016!

We got our first snow of 2016! The kids and Alan shoveled and then played for a couple hours. I watched from inside where it was warm, they had a blast. Simon built a snow castle (out of buckets of molded snow like a sand castle) and they slid around on their backs and bellies and then pulled out the sled and pushed/pulled each other across the back yard. The kids were super funny trying to pull Alan in the sled.

Gingerbread House 2016

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We decorated! And had our first snow! The kids played in the slushy, icy snow for about 20 minutes before Lillian fell in a puddle and got soaked to the bone. It was a blast though!
