Leaving the hospital on Father's Day - 6/19/11

It's only been a few days since we brought Simon home but it seems like so much longer.  It's fun to look back and remember how we were when we first started getting used to having a baby.  After the jump find a few more pictures of Simon and Emily in the hospital room where we spent the first few days of his life.
Emily and Simon sitting in the sun, getting ready to head home for the first time later in the day

Still hard to believe he was on the inside just three days earlier
Happy family
Our room on the 12th floor where we spent Thursday to Sunday.  Emily got the big fancy bed (which she fully earned over the previous few days) and I slept on the convertible couch under the window.
Simon's mobile home for the few days we were in the hospital after he was born.  We used that whiteboard under the clock to track all the feedings and diaper changes to make sure he was getting enough nourishment (he was)
A view into the front room of our little recovery suite
Emily is so happy to be taking our brand new car seat home for the very first time.  And if you look carefully you can even see a tiny human inside the car seat!
