Framed

Finally I'm almost caught up on posting older house pictures - some of these pics are as recent as last week!  The basement part of the back of the house is starting to feel like a real room now... the foundation is done, the framing for the walls on top of the foundation is done, and as of last Friday the support trusses are installed and part of the subfloor is done for the kitchen.

 Basement wall framing: 3/10/11

South and west walls of the addition basement.  You can see the frame for the window on the left side of the picture and the doorway out the backyard on the right

West and north walls of the new basement.  You can see that same doorway and two more window frames.
Trusses and kitchen subfloor: 3/18/11
The light wasn't great and I had to take this picture while leaning over the security fence but you can still see that the addition is finally starting to take shape
View from the basement doorway of the newly installed trusses

Not a bad sized room!  That ramp is there to give the workers and easy way to get in and out of the old basement section (where they are storing all of their equipment) since the new stairs down from the backyard haven't been built yet.
