Missing Daddy

Simon asked to talk to Daddy last night and we made him a goodnight video instead. This morning Simon wanted to make another video. Lillian got in on the action too!

Morning Routine and play time

This morning we had a few minutes of play time before Lillian and I packed up to bring Simon to school.  Then Lillian and I took some selfies.
Where's Simon?
Lillian and I had a great time taking funny face selfies this morning.

Our morning routine and more pictures after the jump (if you're interested):

Wednesday night - Peas and Pancakes

Wednesday night we decided to have peas and pancakes for dinner. It was pretty wonderful and we all ate it right up quickly. Then we headed for an hour at the park before bed time and Simon showed off his swinging ability!

Sibling peek-a-boo

Lillian loves to go talk to Simon while he is eating. He was eating breakfast this morning and she went over and started playing peek a boo and Simon played back. I only got the last bit of it because I enjoyed it for a while before I realized I might be able to record it to share.  He even gets excited that she's taking steps (which she does so often now!)

Simon is Sick and Everyone is Tired

Friday night Simon woke up at 11pm with an ear-ache. He was inconsolable and between Alan and I we were in his room from 11 to 4 (yeah, that was a bad night). When he woke up on Saturday he said his ear didn't hurt anymore. Rather than risk it we made a doctor appointment (but still swung by the zoo in the morning). It was a late afternoon appointment and I was heading to a wedding so Alan took Simon to the doctor.

Our poor boy has two ear infections and his left ear drum - that hurt in the night - is about to pop. He also has a mild cold (cough/runny nose). Which we knew about and expected with school starting so hadn't worried about since there was no fever. The end result is the kid has to stay still, but he just is the worst sick kid and it is so hard to keep him from running around like crazy!

We went out for a nice breakfast this morning and are spending the day watching football and playing motorcycle games and Minecraft. Lillian has been the tiredest girl and is taking an epic nap.

Member Morning at the LP Zoo Farm Morning

Auntie Amy went to a members only at the zoo-farm morning on Saturday with me and Simon. We had planned on bringing Lillian and leaving Alan for some packing time (he's headed to London this week for work) but she looked so tired that I figured she'd just sleep the whole day away. Sadly she slept for about 20 minutes and Alan got no packing done and they didn't get to go with us to the farm.

I took a couple pictures before we went in and these are some of the best pictures of Simon ever. Sadly Amy wasn't ready, but I'm still posting them because those are the most natural smiles I've ever seen on this kid!

LOVE THIS SMILE!
Train rides!
We fed the cow about 17 times. Simon loved it.
This first time we were all surprised at how fast the cow ate the hay from Simon's hand

Watching football and resting

Before Daddy's trip to London Simon and Alan were snuggling on the couch watching some football.
