Flashback! Grandma and Grandpa Basque Visit - March 22 - April 2

Three months late, here are some pictures and videos from Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Ken's visit to Chicago at the end of March.  Simon was about 9 months old then and had learned lots of new tricks to show off since the last time they saw him back in December.  One of the biggest things he started doing that weekend was initiating games (he would hide behind blankets or the end of the couch and pop out to play peekaboo).  He also started showing that he understood when one action would lead to another, and had fun with that anticipation while dancing with Grandma and being chased around by Grandpa.

 One of the first afternoons they were there, Simon fell and bumped his head.  Normally he gets over that pretty quickly but this time he was tired so he was inconsolable for a little while.  But Grandma Cindy came to the rescue and cheered him up with a flying frozen teething toy.

 Unfortunately Grandma Cindy wasn't wearing a pedometer so we'll never know how many miles she ran back and forth to cheer him up

 Simon enjoyed hanging out in his high chair, playing with his newly-discovered feet and being fed by his grandparents.

 Simon loved the dancing around, but even better was the anticipation.  They played this game all weekend and Simon's smile got bigger each time

 Grandpa Ken invents the "I'm coming to get you!" game with Simon, which continues to be one of Simon's very favorite things to do even three months later

 It was pretty windy and cold that weekend but Simon was a trooper and took his grandparents to the park anyway
