Lincoln Park Zoo's Fall Fest

We had a great time at the Lincoln Park Zoo's Fall Fest.  Grandpa Bart, Alan, Simon, Lillian and I all went for a morning of Fall fun. Simon loved the big slide, he went down it a couple times on his own.  Lillian loved the Bouncy Pumpkin. The kids both enjoyed climbing the hay tower and Simon was a great big brother and took Lillian through the corn maze - held her hand the whole time.  There was a corn pit - and both kids stumbled all around that.  Generally a great morning out.

Hamilton Elementary Walkathon 2015

We were so lucky to have Grandpa Bart come and join in Simon's walkathon this year. Both Grandpa Bart and Simon had a great time. They walked the mile route and ended up raising a ton of money for the school. 

Lillian's first haircut

Lillian got her first haircut!  We went to Rock Candy (on Lincoln) and she had Bailey (who used to cut Simon's hair) cut her hair for the first time. After requesting her own comb, which she clung to the entire haircut, she stared in awe in the mirror as Bailey cut her hair.  She was awesome the whole time. She has been really into helping me brush my hair since then.

She looks great and I'm looking forward to seeing how her hair grows now that we trimmed off some of the baby fuzz.

Lillian "Go Cubs Go" from Jessie

I think this is my first post in the Basque Family Blog! Better late than never :) It is safe to say that the Basque family is a Cubs family. Here Lillian shows her Cubbies spirit. (She is saying "Go Cubs go!!!")

Lillian Playing with Baby in Basement (And This is Lillian)

The laundry basket is Baby's crib and the diaper is Baby's blanket.  At the end she says This is Lillian. I love how she says her name right now - all the Ls are Ws.

Baby Sarah - usually just shortened to Baby - has been a very integral part of Lillian's life lately. Baby cries and is hungry and often gets snuggled and put to bed. Lately she has started crawling and walking. Today she was playing me a song on the piano.
