Simons first Sushi with the Ladies

On Sunday of Auntie Amy's visit, Vickie and Colleen joined me and Amy and Simon for Simon's first sushi dinner. He can only eat cooked sushi and to be completely honest, he didn't really eat a whole sushi. He'd happily eat the outsides, but the green seeweed wrapper was too tough for him to easily bite through the first time and he didn't really want to keep trying. He did absolutely love the edamame!

Pictures from Grandparents Basque Visit

Gaga and Papa were in town for a visit a couple weeks ago. We had so much fun that I took almost no pictures! We had a reptile filled trip to the Nature Museum where Simon had a blast, did some cooking, Alan and I did some napping and generally we had a great weekend.

The last morning we did some family shots and Ken made it a point to take a couple pictures of me and Lillian since there haven't been many so far.

Doctoring Kitty right up.

Showing off his cooking skills with Pancakes.

More family shots after the jump:

Almost spring!!

Lumberjack Simon!!
Amy and Lil!!!
We took Amy on a Lincoln Sq adventure and ended up finding a story time at the Book Cellar. So much fun! Simon sat and listened the entire time and Lilly was very engaged too. Both with her paci and the stories.
We had some 50 degree weather and we went for a walk without 8 layers on!
....and stopped at Starbucks :)

Naptime for Mama

Sometimes on the weekends Mama will go take a nap when Simon does.  When that happens, Simon likes to help out by tucking her in and singing her songs.  He definitely means well but doesn't quite understand how it should work.

Here's a video from back in mid-February of him putting Mama down for a nap by singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and patting her head, and eventually forgetting that he's supposed to be quiet and gentle.

Funny Big Brother

Simon was inspired by how Gaga and Papa were able to get Lillian to laugh the other day.  So he wanted to try it himself... no surprise, she loved it!  And we loved seeing the kids happily playing together, hopefully the first time of many.

Swimming Simon

Simon shows off what he learned in his swimming lesson last week.  Look how proud he is of the head dunking!
