What a fun day! I didn't bring my phone near the water so no action pictures. Kids loved the water slides and the zero entry. We will definitely be going back!
We went to Kankakee River State Park about an hour away. The kids had such a great time exploring, wish that we could have done it more! Their favorite parts were catching fireflies in the evening. They loved the fire and cooking and seeing the river. We got to stop at horse farm (with a very reasonable riding fee) and the kids got to see a 5 day old foal!
We even had a great transition to bed in the tent. The only small problem was the very loud group of kids next door to us - they were telling scary stories loudly and having a blast. After an hour of trying to sleep, really trying, Lillian stood up and said she was ready to go home. We all agreed and headed out from the camp site at around 11. Next time we'll be able to spend the night so long as the rest of the camp sites cooperate.
Lillian suddenly started asking to go to Florida to see and feed electric eels. Rather than taking her to Florida, we decided to take her to the Aquarium. She said she'd rather have gone to Florida (who wouldn't!?) but that she was happy to see them. Simon enjoyed the Archer Fish.
After a year of ballet class, 3 year old Lillian had her first ballet show. She had a blast and really enjoyed it, but I think we'll skip a year before we take ballet classes again.
Lillian and Abby
(Abby is in Simon's class and Lillian LOVES her)
After the show. Hair came out IMMEDIATELY.
Outfit came off shortly afterward.
