Weekend with Daddy

Lillian and Alan spent the weekend together - apparently talking on the phone.

Vickie gave Lillian a fake phone in a real case for her birthday.
Lillian loves it!!

Weekend in Madison (Emily's HS friends)

Simon and I went to Madison, WI and saw a bunch of my friends from high school. It was a great time! We played baseball, met new friends, hung out with old friends, Simon ate a pancake/peanut butter/jelly sandwich, he slept on his brand new Avengers Sleeping Bag (thanks Auntie Colleen and Joe!), and he threw up on his brand new Avengers Sleeping Bag - I think due to too much junk food and excitement. (It got washed and returned for our second night see picture below.)

Painting with Lillian

The weather outside is... yucky, so Lillian and I busted out the paints. We tried all kinds of methods, painting with brushes and fingers, making long strokes and little splatters, and squirting the paint right out of the tube! She's a natural.

She wanted to "clean up" the paint, so she wiped her painting down with a paper towel.

She got some pretty good results:

Class Show - Yellow Submarine

Simon missed school yesterday and so missed the dress rehearsal. He's the leader of the front line and the second person used to be Marty, that little girl in the hat and sunglasses... but she can't read her name yet so didn't know where to stop and it was a huge mess during the rehearsal. As a result they swapped Austin (the boy really close to Simon) and Marty.   Ms. Zairel was very happy the line leader was back and ready for the show today as he knew just where to stop and remembered all the things to do.

Waiting for the music to start.

Both kids singing

Lillian singing Baa Baa Black Sheep and Simon singing Yellow Submarine. Enjoy!

Guess who has croup?

This crazy boy below has croup and in these pictures he had a 103 degree fever. However he couldn't stop making funny faces and poses at the doctor's office. Yesterday he had a fever at school so we brought him straight to the doctor. He had a slight rash along with the barking cough and they gave him some motrin and a steroid to release his throat and make sleeping easier.  His fever broke in the night and he's been completely normal all day. A struggle to keep him still and resting!

Would never guess that this guy has 103 degree fever.
