Christmas Morning 2014

We had a great Christmas Morning this year. The kids were so very excited! Unfortunately we didn't get any family photos in front of the tree or any group shots at all, but we got to open so many great presents!  Colleen and Joe woke up super early and were at our place by 6:30 so they could see the kids coming downstairs. Simon was bouncing he was so excited - but we had a quick snack before opening to forestall any hunger induced temperament issues. (Who doesn't get grouchy when they haven't eaten?) Grandpa Bart, Grandma Kiki, Joe, Colleen, Alan, Emily, Lillian and Simon then spent a lovely morning opening presents and then playing with all the great new toys we got.

Thank you everyone!!

Grandma Kiki took most of the pictures in this post!

Grandma Kiki's slippers

Grandma Kiki was downstairs napping so Lillian tried to figure out  how to put on her sneakers.

Braving the cold for Baseball

Hello Grandpa Bart and Grandma Kiki!

Grandpa Bart and Grandma Kiki are visiting! Lillian immediately cornered them both and got them to read to her.

Santa Pictures at Little Beans 2014

We went to Little Beans again this year to see Santa. It is so much easier to pay a little bit and let the kids play while I wait in the Santa line rather than going to one of the free Santa and sitting in line for hours (literally). They love playing at Little Beans and had a great time on Friday. I was on my own for the first hour or so and as a result you don't see any behind the scenes pictures of Lillian crying while Simon calmly sits on Santa's lap. I look forward to the pictures we get from it!

Jenn tried to get a picture of the three of us - too much going on to sit still.
All still due to some dino-love, but no one seems happy about it!
Everyone is happy!
Lillian ate half a ham and cheese sandwich
with her eyes never leaving the kids playing.

Simon was thrilled to pose for a picture with his sister.
Jacket lasted until picture with Santa, then came off for the bulk of play time.

Lions and balls and slides, oh my!

Simon loves the slide, Lillian loved the microwave.

Lillian helping make stew

I gave her a celery and a carrot while I cut them and some blueberries hidden in her bowl. She was awesome waiting while I prepped the stew.
