Back to Chicago!
Simon passed out as soon as he was buckled in and for the first time EVER we were able to transfer him from the car seat to his crib without waking up! He has been a very sleepy baby, I would say he had a blast in Boston!
First Word is.... Up!
Yesterday Simon started saying his first word! It's adorable. He initially was just saying 'ph', but obviously trying to imitate you with the intention of you picking him up. Jenn worked on it yesterday with him and got him to the 'bphp' stage. By the end of a day of focused up-ing, Simon had it!
This morning we tried again and initially I got just the p sound again, but before I left for work he did the full word. Another amazing milestone! When we can catch it on video we will post it.

Home Safe
We are home safe from Boston and we hit zero deer on the trip. Somehow we still managed to have fun. A more detailed post will follow. For now, a picture of the house 4 down from us toward Cornelia is getting torn down today. Big changes in our neighborhood!
Fake sleeping
Simon has started adorably 'fake sleeping'. He lies down and assumes sleep position then jumps up and laughs. He's developing a sense of humor! It is also now our most accurate method of determining if he's tired. That joke is way funnier if you're tired. See?
These pictures were taken on Tuesday the 10th.

Merge the two top pictures in your mind to make a great picture of Colleen, Simon and I.

Happy Birthday to Simon
Simon had an amazing birthday. Grandpa Bart and Grandma Kiki were in town to celebrate the big day and to help me and Alan get everything ready. We had almost 15 folks over to celebrate. Details and SO MANY PICTURES follow...
