Park Time with Auntie Colleen

I am headed back to Arizona and Colleen is going to go for a couple weeks so we spent a morning at the park.

We were all ready and done with breakfast early, so we got ourselves together and headed to the park. Alan wanted to stop into Dunkin' Doughnuts for a coffee and we got the kids a little treat while we were there. Good morning!

Emily is Still Cutting Simon's Hair

I've gotten much better at cutting Simon's hair over the years. The first time I cut his hair was a bit of a disaster. It got a bit better with appropriate tools, but honestly it took me some time to learn.  While we have brought him to a couple professional cuts in his life, I'm normally the one cutting it.  My goal was to be good at it before he cared about what his hair looked like. I think I succeeded. This is his hair now (after a cut). Probably could go a bit longer on the top, but the back looks great if I do say so myself! 

Next I have to learn how to give Lillian a hair cut! 

Arizona Weekend with the Whole Family

After some unexpected news, we changed our summer vacation plans so ensure that we got to spend some time as a family in Arizona. Colleen and Joe, Alan and I, and Simon and Lillian all flew down to Arizona together. Simon is such a good little traveler now. On the way out Simon and Alan got 2 seats together at the front of the plane and Joe, Colleen and I sat with Lap-Baby-Lillian in 3 seats together. As the plane took off, Lillian peed all over me. With that out of the way the rest of the flight wasn't so bad!

Simon was very excited to go back to AZ. Both kids loved the visit - loved seeing their grandparents and loved playing in the pool! There was time for lots of family pictures before the weekend ended. Simon, Lillian, Alan and Joe all flew home on Monday morning and Colleen and I stayed for most of that week to help out.
