Zoo Lights 2013
On Thursday evening we went to the member's opening of zoo lights. It was SO cold that we didn't stay for very long but we did have a good time while we were there. Simon rode on the train 3 times (!) and then we looked at the lights and saw some lemurs and monkeys (all the other animals were sleeping). At that point we were so cold we did one quick time on the carousel and then headed home!
Baby massage
Simon took all the below pictures! I think Alan was helping a little, but the little man is really starting to get the hang of pointing at the subject. There were a couple of the ceiling and fingers I had to delete, but much fewer.
Here Lillian is getting her first massage. The stuff in the blue bowl is coconut oil - all natural and not a problem if she eats some. It is also what I have been using for her lotion. She has been pretty gassy lately and as a result crying when she has a bowl movement or passes gas. The massage, bicycling her legs and the infant gas-X we have been giving her have all helped to make her more comfortable. She slept from 2 to 6 earlier this week! Or more accurately we slept from 2-6, at 7 she is just waking but we had to get up and get moving before then. Long sleep stretch for our little girl! Too bad she hasn't been repeating it every night but it gives us a glimmer of hope.

Decorating Colleen's Christmas Tree
The Friday after Thanksgiving everyone who didn't have to work (sorry Alan and Joe) went to Colleen's house and decorated her Christmas Tree. Grandma Kiki and I advised while Grandpa Bart, Colleen and Simon put the lights and decorations on the tree.

Thanksgiving 2013
We had a housefull on Thanksgiving Day. Grandpa Bart and Grandma Kiki, Colleen and Joe, Alan and Emily and Simon and Lillian. We did some serious football watching, and some serious football playing. I made the executive decision this year to order or meal out from Whole Foods, so it was a cooking free day for us. The Whole Foods Meal was amazingly easy and quite good. We got a turkey that everyone agreed was delicious (though there was definitely some hesitation on many folks parts before it was tasted). Grandpa Bart doctored the mashed potatoes a bit, the green beans and cranberry sauces were excellent, even the gravy was good. The only disappointment was the stuffing - everyone agreed that it was too wet and too flavorful. We are just too used to stovetop I guess! Alan's favorite part was 10 minutes of cleanup!
It was a lovely day and so relaxing and nice to spend it with family. Lots of pictures after the jump as well...
