April and Scott and Lizzy visit
April, Scott and Lizzy came by to meet Lillian. They even brought Simon a present of zoo animal legos so Simon happily ignored the babies for most of the visit to play. He got everyone to sit down and play at some point. Happily, before they left we did a mini photo shoot of the kids.
Halloween - Boo at the Zoo
Simon had a 2 part halloween. The first was on Sunday before Halloween when Colleen, Joe, Joe's niece and nephew, and Joe's family all went to Boo at the Zoo. It was a dress up, trick or treating event. It was at Brookfield Zoo and Colleen wisely didn't put Simon into his costume for the drive (in case of accidents). When they went to the zoo bathroom to change into his costume Colleen put his bucket (with the costume in it) into the sink since there wasn't a shelf. Very unfortunately it was an automatic sink. So not a lot of costume on our Batman, but we all knew what his costume was and it certainly didn't stop fun from being had by all! Simon even got to eat his first Ice Cream Sandwich.
Tummy time
Lillian spent about 15 minutes alert and on her tummy yesterday. Our little girl has a strong neck and is really cool about tummy time.

Lillian 2 Week Well Visit
On Tuesday, November 5th we took Lillian to the doctor for her 2 week well-visit. Lillian is also seeing Dr. Meryl Perlman, who has been Simon's doctor since he was born. We totally love her and have found her to be a great pediatrician. She saw Lillian in the hospital, saw her at the one week visit and then again at the 2 week visit. According to Dr Perlman, Lillian is a perfect 'text-book baby'. Lillian is either alert and looking around or she is eating or she is sleeping - she doesn't cry very often. Even when Lillian got her Hep B vaccine - a shot in her leg which we deferred from the hospital to her first doctor's visit so she'd be a bit bigger and more able to handle it - she cried for a second but literally before Alan could get her across the tiny room to comfort nurse she'd already stopped crying and was looking around again.
We started a page of Lillian's growth statistics, but below is a summary to date:
October 22, 2013: Birth 6 pounds 10 ounces
October 25, 2013: Leaving Hospital 6 pounds 2 ounces
October 29, 2013: 1 week well visit 6 pounds 9 ounces
November 5, 2013: 2 week well visit 7 pounds 3 ounces
